Ipswich Cask & Clam Fest Saturday May 13th,12-6pm

The first annual Ipswich Ale Cask & Clam Fest will feature: live music on two stages, specialty cask ales & draft beers from the Ipswich Ale Tapmobiles, food trucks, and many more activities for all ages! The Tasting Pavilion (which will be open from 12-3pm only) will feature food samples from twelve local restaurants competing for the judge's and people's choice awards. There is no fee for admission to this family friendly event. Tickets for food sampling in the Tasting Pavilion are available for purchase online (limited food sampling tickets may be available for sale at the event). Beer tickets and t-shirts are available for purchase both online and at the event. All proceeds from the Cask and Clam Fest will benefit local nonprofits that help with the conservation of clams and the clamming industry: Ipswich River Watershed Association and the Green Crab R&D Project.

Ipswich Cask & Clam Week is a week-long series of events celebrating Ipswich’s clamming & brewing culture.

Monday, May 8, 7-9pm

Tales at the Table, with Bethany Groff Dorau of Historic New England.

Enjoy traditional cask ales and a hearty tavern dinner in our private dining room while listening to true tales of sword fights, scandalous romance, and bloody brawls, all from Ipswich’s storied past. Tickets (available for purchase online only starting April 1) cost $50 and include dinner, two beers, and a ceramic souvenir mug. Must be 21+ to attend. Seating begins at 6:30pm and the program begins promptly at 7pm. The event ends at 9pm, but the restaurant is open until 11pm, so all are welcome to stay to enjoy more food and beer. Additional beer, wine, soda, and food is available for purchase at the restaurant.

Tuesday, May 9, 7-8:30pm

Green Crab Panel Discussion & Tasting Night, featuring passed green crab hor d’oeuvres and cask ales.

Ipswich Shellfish Warden, Scott LaPreste, and founder of the Green Crab R&D Project, Roger Warner, will lead an informative and engaging talk about the green crab, an invasive species wreaking havoc on the local clamming industry. Tickets (available for purchase online only starting April 1) cost $10 and include one beer and passed green crab hor d’oeuvres. Must be 21+ to attend. Seating begins at 6:30pm and the program begins promptly at 7pm. The event ends at 8:30pm, but the restaurant is open until 11pm, so all are welcome to stay to enjoy more food and beer. Additional beer, wine, soda, and food is available for purchase at the restaurant.

Sip and Paint Night with the Wicked Art Bar

The Wicked Art Bar Road Show is heading to the Ipswich Ale Brewery for a night of paint and sip fun! We invite you to join us as we paint a version of a clamming photograph by local photographer, Terri Unger. We'll provide the supplies - paints, apron, brushes and a 16x20 canvas- you make the masterpiece. This is an instructor-led painting class - part technique, part fun - no experience required! Doors open at 6:30pm, class starts at 7pm. Tickets available for purchase online only starting in April. All ages are welcome to attend. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to our nonprofit partners, Green Crab R&D Project and the Ipswich River Watershed Association. (Please note, food and drink are not included in the price of admission.)

Thursday, May 11, 7-8:30pm

Flights and Bites: Cask Night, with author and cask enthusiast, Randy Baril.

Join us for our third "Flights and Bites" Night at the Ipswich Ale Brewer's Table. Each participant will receive a flight of beers (one cask ale, one dry-hopped cask ale, and two draft beers), paired with 4 food offerings. Staff at the Ipswich Ale Brewery will lead you in a guided tasting experience to compare and contrast cask ales to draft beers. Special guests include brewers at the Ipswich Ale Brewery and Randy Baril, cask ale enthusiast and author of “Hosting Cask Ale Events.”

Tickets (available for purchase online only starting April 1) cost $25 and include the flight of beers and four paired bites. Must be 21+ to attend. Seating begins at 6:30pm and the program begins promptly at 7pm. The event ends at 8:30pm, but the restaurant is open until 11pm, so all are welcome to stay to enjoy more food and beer. Additional beer, wine, soda, and food is available for purchase at the restaurant

Meet the Clammers Clambake on the Patio at the Ipswich Ale Brewer’s Table

Enjoy a clambake dinner prepared by the Ipswich Ale Brewer’s Table and hear the exciting stories of four Ipswich clammers. This fun and informative night will be a great way to get to know your local clammers. This event will take place outdoors on the patio (in case of rain, event will be held indoors). Tickets (available for purchase online only starting April 1) cost $40 and include dinner and two beers. Must be 21+ to attend. Seating begins at 6:30pm and the program begins promptly at 7pm. The event ends at 8:30pm, but the restaurant is open until 11pm, so all are welcome to stay to enjoy more food and beer. Additional beer, wine, soda, and food is available for purchase at the restaurant.

Local Clammers Photography Exhibit by Terri Unger

Visit the Private Dining Room at the Ipswich Ale Brewer’s Table from Monday, May 8 through Saturday, May 13 to view a series of clamming photos and portraits of clammers by Terri Unger. Terri is an independent journalist, editorial, commercial, portrait and fine art photographer located in Ipswich, Massachusetts. Prints of the photographs on display will be available for purchase online at http://www.terriunger.com/ and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to our nonprofit partners, Green Crab R&D Project and the Ipswich River Watershed Association.
